For example: in cast iron materials, the potential of iron is lower than that of iron carbide; the potential of the tensile stress and tensile deformation parts is also lower than that of the compressive stress deformation part; the potential of the parts with less oxygen in the cooling water is also lower; so these The metal in the part will be subject to electrochemical corrosion. Under static stress, the corrosion will cause pitting where the material is lost. The installation of anti-corrosion zinc blocks can effectively reduce the electrochemical corrosion. Under the pulsating mechanical stress, the pits become the stress concentration and become the source of fatigue cracks.
